Insurance and Fees
Fees are collected at the beginning of each session. Telehealth sessions require a credit card on file, or a deposit, and your card will be charged on the date of service. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment) and no shows incur a $100 self-pay fee that cannot be billed to insurance and must be paid prior to scheduling the next appointment.

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
Harvard Pilgrim
I am in network with BCBS and Harvard Pilgrim. If you are covered by another insurance plan, and your plan provides “out of network” coverage, you will be responsible for payment of the full self-pay fee at the time of your visit. I will provide you with a “superbill” that you would submit to your insurance company, and the insurance company will then reimburse you according to the terms of your individual plan.

Before your first appointment, I recommend that you call your insurance company and ask the following questions. Coverage for mental health services is sometimes tricky, and you want to be a well informed consumer.
Is Sarah Lin, Ph.D. an in-network or out-of-network provider with my plan?
Which insurance company manages my mental health benefits?
At times, depending on your specific plan, mental health care is “carved out” to another insurer.
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Are pre-authorizations required from my primary care physician?
Does my plan provide out of network benefits?
“Be messy and complicated and afraid and show up anyways.”
